WHALE ANCESTOR TRACED IN VALLEY                

The fossil of a 48 million year old mammal found in kakalkot of jammu & kashmir represent the missing link between whales & their four footed ancestors.The mammal named Indohyus resembles a miniature dear is closest to whales as per iit roorkee researches.The bones of this animal has a thick outer layer almost like a hippopotamus thus strongly establishing the fact further.
